SCOPE3D

Solver of a fluid like PDEs set in a three dimensional cartesian geometry. An explicit, third order, Adams-Bashforth method is adopted for the time advancement while algorithms based on the Fast Fourier Transforms and on the Compact Finite Differences perform the spatial operations.

The code is flexible for the implementation of various plasma models including different physical effects.

The parallelization scheme lies on a 2D cartesian domain distribution among the CPUs. The porting of the code on the accelerated CPU-GPU clusters is presently in progress.
